Project overview
Ahead of a local government public-transit referendum, KP recruited, trained, and fielded a team of more than a dozen college students from several universities to conduct neutral, information-focused public education. The team appeared at more than fifty community events and connected directly with nearly three thousand Indianapolis residents.
The work sat in the careful middle ground that community education has to occupy around ballot questions: accurate, responsive to what residents actually wanted to know, and disciplined about staying out of advocacy.
